The very first enterprise of this conglomerate was found in 1986 by Oleg Nikitin. At the start, his business focused mainly on decorating with flowers called "Flowers". During his leadership, the main material base and organizational principles were stated. However, due to the restructuring and privatization from 1991 to 2004, which is well-known as LLC "SHP Flowers" in Russia, its profit fell. During the period from 1993 to 2004, a significant amount of products was lost and stolen. The profitable company now has turned into a crummy business with unclear and low-quality products from unclear suppliers. It was in the verge of backruptcy.
In 1993, the second enterprise, "House of Flowers", was started out as a basis of small flower shop. Thanks to Antipina E, Antipin O, Ivanova N and Nikitin A, the enterprise successfully became widely known in the city and the region with its reputation of one of the most gougeous flower shops and expanded to10 stores.
In 2004, Teslya V, Nikitin A and Antipin O sought to establish a new wholesale "Blumenstok" as a wholesale of flowers and floral tools, consist of Cut Flowers, Potted Plants, Floral Knives, Floral Stripper, Pruning Shares in several sizes, Wire Cutters, Glue Guns, Glue Stick, Vases, Containers, Decorative Accents and Accessories. In 2005, the LLC “SHP Flowers" was named "Flower Region" by Nikitin A. and he has driven the firm's subsequent growth. In 2008, the firm entered the landscape industry. Unfortunately, the firm could not gain a foothold in the market and did not develop untill 2010, the seasonal retail enterprise "4 Gardens" was built and it has grown to be a successful retailer ever since.
The constitution of the firm is an outstanding example of family business, led by Nikitins and Antipins families. In 2011, Nikitin and Antipin family seperated due to different management style. "House of Flowers" and the landscape business was seceded from the firm, which was managed by the Antipins family.
In 2011, the parent company “Flowers Region", ran by Nikitin A and supported by Nikitin O, moved into new lines of business:
- "Flowers " : production of flowers , seedling , plants of open ground.
- "Blumenstok": wholesale flowers, potted plants, foral tools and floral accessories.
- "4 Gardens": garden tools retailer.
In 2012, the company invested in a new corporation "Sweboda Systems", a software for industrial automation.
In 2013, the Arbitration Court named LLC "Verdict" was found. Also, the very first public project is started out as a football club "Blumenstok". Not only that, soil products labelled "4 Garden" was launched. Moreover, landscaping center "4 Gardens" revived its work in the association since February 2014 and a new Garden Center "4 Gardens" on the Okruzhnoe highway near shopping center "Rio" was opened in April.
In 2013, farm «Onosino» has started its work and became popular for its excellent ecological turkey.
In 2014, the sixth Garden Center on the Leningrad highway was opened. Likewise, the second public project "Winter Garden" was launched in autumn.
In 2015, "SHP Flowers" was to be the first firm in Vologda city to produce 2 million tulips for March 8. At the end of the year, the first software product Sweboda for automation control of companies was finally released.
In 2016, a new Botanic Garden will be introduced to the public with more than 500 species of exotic and rare plants, with the total amount of more than 1000.
